The Apple iPhone is a smartphone that combines all the most popular gadget: an mp3 player, a tablet PC, a digital camera and a cell phone. It comes with a suite of media management software and communications software, including iTunes, the Safari Web browser and iPhoto.

With all this the new 3G iPhone has been released, it offers critical new features including support for high-speed 3G networks, third-party applications, and expanded e-mail. Its call quality is improved and it continues to deliver an excellent music and video experience. However it continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Battery life was uneven, and the 3G connection tended to be shaky. Also, the e-mail syncing is not without its faults.

The iPhone 3G is available in 8GB and 16GB form, and with either black or white backings (the front is black for everyone). Only the 16GB version is available in both black and white, while the 8GB version is only available in black.

You can choose to use the built-in camera to capture photo and selecting the photo as your wallpaper.

• 1. Tap the Camera app.
• 2. Take your photo by tapping on the camera icon.
• 3. Tap the overlapping squares icon in the lower left side of the screen. If you don't see the option, tap the screen for the menu options to appear.
• 4. Tap on the photo you just took (or whatever photo you like)
• 5. Tap the square with the arrow jumping out of it in the lower left side of the screen.
• 6. Tap the 'Use As Wallpaper menu option.
• 7. Use your thumb and index finger to pinch or stretch the image to fit appropriately.
• 8. Finally, Tap Set Wallpaper.

In addition to your own pictures, there are free wallpaper sites out there that have images you can download already formatted to fit smoothly on the iPhone's 320 x 480 pixel resolution display. Simply download them to your computer and sync them to your iPhone.
