Google has launch its first smartphone named as Nexus One. It has been designed by the folks at Google, and the hardware is manufactured by HTC. The new Nexus One is a sleek, awesome handset, but the most important ingredient in touchscreen smartphones is software and Nexus One will run on Google’s mobile OS named Android v2.1.

With the amount of admiration Nexus One is enjoying nowadays, it will surely be one of the best Android phones in the market. But let’s have a comparison check with Nokia N97 and we’ll try to put the stats of these two devices side by side for my reference at least.

So let’s begin the bout!

1. Size and Weight: Nexus One is thinner than Nokia N97 with 130g in weight and 11.5mm in thickness, whereas Nokia N97 weighs 150 g with a thickness of 15.9mm.

2. Display: Nexus One has a large 3.7″ Capacitive high resolution OLED display with resolution of 480×800 pixels, whereas Nokia N97 has 3.5 inches TFT resistive touch display with 360 x 640 pixels.

3. Keyboard: Nexus One has an Onscreen virtual keyboard, while Nokia N97 has Slide-out full QWERTY keyboard plus Alphanumeric Onscreen virtual keyboard (also handwriting recognition).

4. Multitouch: Nexus One has the biggest advantage with multitouch support while Nokia N97 supports multitouch only in few apps.

Every single text area in Android 2.1 is speech-to-text (Google Voice recognition) enabled, which means you can say your text messages, emails, tweets, notes to self, whatever.

5. Sensors: Nexus One has an extra mic at the back to reduce background noise, whereas Nokia N97 lacks an extra mic and thus background noise reduction features.

6. Camera: Though both phones sports a 5 megapixel camera (2592×1944 pixels) with LED flash, I believe the Nokia N97’s Carl Zeiss optic lens make it stand out.

7. Processor: The Qualcomm Snapdragon(TM) 8250 processor of the Nexus One is surely the winner, with speeds of up to 1GHz while Nokia N97’s ARM 11 processor only has 434MHz.

With audio and video playback to go with a library of 5 megapixel camera snaps, storage has become an issue. So let’s take a peak.

8. Storage: Nexus One has 512MB internal memory, 512MB RAM and expandable up to 32GB, whereas Nokia N97 has 32GB onboard, 128 MB RAM and up to 16GB expandable therefore taking this round.

9. Operating System: Nexus One runs the Google Android 2.1 os. on the other hand Nokia N97 operates on Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5, with Nexus One taking this round.

10. Battery: Life of removable 1400 mAh battery in Nexus One performs admirably, but I think Li-Ion 1500 mAh (BP-4L) battery on the Nokia N97 is better.

11. Video: Nexus One has the higher video resolution with 720×480 @ 20FPS, but Nokia has the fastest with 30FPS @ 640×480 pixels.

12. Trackball: Tri-color notification LED, alerts when new emails, chats, text messages arrive.

The Nexus One may have surpass the Nokia N97 smartphone in performance, display quality, and speed, but it is still not yet a full-fledged business device.

And though it may not have all the features we’d like, Nexus One greatly enhances the Google Android family with a fast processor, good call quality, and improved voice control features.

Comparing newer technology to older is a little bit unfair, ‘coz it’s pretty clear that the Nexus One is more capable than what’s found in Nokia’s N97. But this is by no means just a definitive guide to what technology we have right now compare to last 2009 and I’m pretty sure you’ll have your own opinions. You could look at a few other smaller issues but I believe these have been the most important keys.

Handsfree Bluetooth car kits is likely the best solution for improving your safety while driving if you wanted to use a mobile device’s functions. And BlueAnt Supertooth 3 is one of those bluetooth car kits that offer a basic handsfree service, answer, voice dial and hang up calls and phone book compatibility.

The BlueAnt Supertooth 3 handsfree speakerphone provides a safe way to use your mobile phone while driving. When the phone rings, the Supertooth 3’s sophisticated Text-to-Speech software announces the name or number of the caller. And to accept the call, just say “OK”. There is no need to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road. Isn’t that super!

Installing the BlueAnt Supertooth 3 is so easy by simply sliding the enclosed metal clip onto your car sun visor and attach the Supertooth 3 using the magnets on the back. Another advantage of Blueant Supertooth 3 car kit in your vehicle is that it can easily be remove, allowing you to replace the Supertooth 3 to any vehicle you may drive. This is especially useful if you have a family of drivers.

And with the use of the intuitive voice prompts (available in a choice of 6 languages) the Supertooth 3 automatically connect with your phone and upload your address book.

The BlueAnt Supertooth 3 features advanced Digital Signal Processing software which eliminates noise and giving you outstanding audio quality, regardless of whether you are travelling at high speed or just stationary. It even adjusts sound levels to compensate for loud engine noise or external noise created when your car windows are wound down.

The BlueAnt Supertooth 3 can even be paired with up to 8 devices and supports voice dial activation, redial and call reject (if your mobile phone supports these features).

At first glance of the two iPhone model, one would be unlikely to notice any difference between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS. So just by looking, can you tell the difference between an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 3GS? Your answer would certainly be no; they look identical to each other and has no different to the naked eye. Once you’ve used the iPhone 3GS, however, you’ll find out just how different it is.

So what had been added to the new iPhone 3GS for you not to think that it was not somewhat a low-key upgrade? Well here’s the key improvements on the iPhone 3GS that we’ve come to notice, the new iPhone 3GS has improved performance (on speed and battery life), a digital compass, bigger memory, voice control and video recording, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, and the new 32GB storage option.

Improved Performance:

We’re not talking about the iPhones user interface or any additional applications – everything that runs on the iPhone 3GS can run on the iPhone 3G, but the 3GS is significantly faster “S -for speed”. Rather than to introduced new features or new apps, Apple decided to concentrate on speed over the previous generation making iPhone 3GS a ‘more powerful’ model over the previous one.

Looking at the specs, the CPU in the iPhone 3GS is clocked at 600MHz using its ARM Cortex A8, compared to 400MHz on the previous iPhone 3G. As well as this, you’ll be getting 256MB RAM compared to 128MB in the 3G. When you’re using the 3GS it feels a lot more responsive, and the speed at which applications load is staggeringly quick compared to what you’d get on the older generation.

Battery:

A surprising feature of the 3GS is increased battery life, despite a higher clock speed in the device. Battery life is always a concern in smartphones, with most lasting no more than a few hours of intensive use, but the average user will be able to get a full days charge with the new improvements to battery life.

Camera:

Beside improvements on speed and battery life is the 3.2 megapixel camera, another reason to opt for the 3GS over the 3G (2.0 MP) or other older generation. The camera in the iPhone 3GS has always been pretty shocking, although I would never use the iPhone’s camera as my main point-and-shoot, but you’ll find a 3.2 MP camera in the 3GS useful to boasts video recording and auto focusing for when taking still shots.

You’ll be surprised how much this will increase the quality of your shots over previous generations, especially when used with the new auto exposure and auto white-balance features. When it comes to the quality of your video recordings, you’ll be impressed with the quality for a mobile device, although it simply can’t compete with dedicated video recorders. Still, it’s a nice feature to have, and you can tap the screen when recording to focus your videos.

Summary:

Though the iPhone 3GS is not an insignificant step forward in the iPhone family. The Nike+ support, magnetometer (compass), video recording, voice control, better camera, better battery life and faster data network are all improvements nobody would call a step backwards.

Specifications: iPhone 3G versus iPhone 3GS

Diffirent for a few subtle changes, the Prime looks identical to the last-generation Jawbone. Updated with NoiseAssasin™ 2.0 technology, the Jawbone PRIME can accurately separate speech from ambient noise, eliminating real world noise better than any other headset. NoiseAssasin™ 2.0 delivers an order of magnitude improvement in the noisiest environments (6 to 9dB) extracting even more noise while keeping the user’s voice natural.

Similarly, the Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) provides a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn’t touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise cancelling headset. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.

The Jawbone Prime is also different from its predecessors in that it has a digital wind-reduction solution. Aliph’s engineers focused on the task of eliminating the impact wind has on speech which promises to mitigate winds moving at up to 10 miles per hour. Whereas the previous generation only used mechanical means of wind reduction (by positioning the microphones) the Prime uses algorithms as well to cancel wind noise. That’s a different approach from the Plantronics Voyager Pro, which primarily relies on mechanical methods, including a curved stainless steel wind shield and cloth layer, and adds in algorithms only when the wind noise manages to get past that physical layer.

Jawbone PRIME uses an algorithm that digitally fuses together the best audio from its two electret microphones (the clean preserved high-end frequencies of speech) and its patented Voice Activity Sensor (the low-end frequencies of speech) to create a single, natural sounding speech signal. By utilizing some innovative DSP techniques and Jawbone’s Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) to reconstruct the missing speech they have managed to implement a wind solution that maintains their award-winning design without having to apply a visually disruptive wind-sock or baffle to physically block the wind.

For Jawbone PRIME, Aliph team are introducing a unique classic, stylish design, crafted with high precision in 3-D to reflect the light, and give a sense of movement to the exterior surfaces. Like fashion brands that weave unique textiles, Jawbone PRIME weigh 0.4 ounces and is crafted in this high level of sculpting made from tough medical-grade plastic. It is the attention to the materiality, to the surface, to the way it reflects light and color that enhances the inherent value of the product-adding quality to quality, and building-in layers of detail and meaning.

Functionally, the design has also been enhanced by a slight indication in the shield’s texture, a small tactile crease that indicates where the switch is located. The inside contours of the product follow your face in a perfectly comfortable manner, while new ergonomic earbuds have been refined to keep the Jawbone in place without an earloop for most wearers.

Aliph is also experimenting with colors this time around. In addition to the basics (black, platinum, and brown) it comes in four bolder colors: Frankly Scarlet (red), Drop me a Lime (neon green), Yellow (you guessed it), and Lilac You Mean It (purple)—did you catch the talking puns?

• Talk Time: up to 4 hours
• Stand By Time: up to 8 days
• Product Includes:
Jawbone Prime (color of your choice)
Wall Charger
USB Cable
3 Earbuds
3 New Fit Earbuds
1 Earloop
1 Manual

The device features a side slider full QWERTY keyboard for optimal email experience. Enjoy videos, music, and graphics on the 2.4″ QVGA display and Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Find directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps. Take photos with a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera and a secondary VGA for videocall.

Additional features include USB charging with simultaneous data transfer, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, supports 3G, equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS: Nokia Maps 3.0, predictive text T9 and USB 2.0 High-Speed. Supported WCDMA frequencies depend on the region where the device is available.

Similarly, the Nokia E55 a follow up to affordable smartphone E51 also features A-GPS, Nokia Maps and N-Gage support. But since it is geared for consumers who are looking for an mid-range smartphone, its best feature would have to be its compacted QWERTY keyboard which was well loved by Nokia E51 users transitioning from the standard keypads of regular mobile phones.

Both these mobile phones are said to be loaded with Nokia’s new email interface which according to Nokia give a more efficient corporate email solution. And to make this possible, Nokia has partnered with Microsoft and Lotus Notes. This is a feature which made the BlackBerry devices successful in conquering the corporate mobile phone users.

With Nokia E75 and E55, people will no longer need to boot up a PC to get a full desktop email experience. The enhanced email UI includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size, as well as the most commonly used email functions just a single click away. On top of email, the device also offer improved calendar capability, as well as contacts and task management.

Taking a lot of inspiration from Nokia’s highly business mobile device, the Nokia 9300, the E75 would cater not only to smartphone users but to mobile gamers as well. Aside from its full support for Nokia Maps and assisted GPS feature with a 3-month license for turn-by-turn navigation, the phone is also loaded with N-Gage functionality. So, that takes care of our Nokia mobile gamer friends’ needs. In addition, the Nokia E75 also supports Nokia’s Ovi service, particularly useful for sharing files in the cloud.

The Nokia E55 also supports 3G and comes equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS: Nokia Maps 3.0 and two cameras - a 3.2-megapixel main camera and an additional VGA camera for video calls. A candybar, it´s got what it takes to be a good business oriented device. The Nokia e55 features is not any different from the one on the E75 in almost anything, except for several nice novelties like battery life, T9, internal memory, included microSD card, weight and size.

Both handsets sports a music player and FM radio with RDS and both apps come dressed in the standard Symbian OS 9.3 S60 3rd edition with Feature Pack 2 attire.

Not the least, the Nokia E-Series fleet is growing stronger. To wrap it up, the Nokia E55 and E75 both rock, so E for excellence goes both ways.

There has been so much hype with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, but will it live up to the promise? In all technical prowess, it’s much the same as the Blackberry. It features an interactive panel interface that lets you customize the smartphone depending on your needs. In terms of processing power, Xperia X1 is impressive, with a 520 MHz Qualcomm chipset.

Another good thing about this phone is that it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a touch screen version which if compared to iPhone that only have a touch screen keyboard. The slight curve makes it comfortable to hold the phone when typing messages. It has a decent weight with 145g, not too heavy and feels really thin with all its power inside.

It has a 3-inch touch screen that displays 65,536 colors at an 800×480 pixel resolution which really booms out crisp and vibrant technicolour, also it is 2.5 times higher than that of the iPhone 3G. I just have to say it’s that this is one of the best-looking screen ever seen on a Windows Mobile device.

The phone comes with a generous 400MB of internal memory, 256MB RAM and 512MB storage memory. It’s 3.2-megapixel camera will allow you to capture images very vibrantly, and has autofocus capabilities. Also X1’s connectivity combination of HSDPA, Wi-Fi and AGPS makes it very essential for customers looking to use the phone for business purposes.

The Nokia N95 8GB is a little bit more than just the existing N95 with a paint job and memory upgrade - this version of the N95 has a larger screen and enhanced GPS, plus N-Gage gaming. It is quick and very user friendly, and is really packed full of exciting features. The 5MP camera really does the job, and produces better quality photographs than my 7MP digital camera.
The microSD slot has been replaced by a fixed 8GB internal flash drive. The 8GB internal memory is really useful, you now have no need for a digital camera or an MP3 player as the N95 8Gb has replaced them. This appears as drive E on the phone. The original has microSD slots for expandable memory.
Increased System RAM, the N95 8Gb now has 128mb RAM – double the original which is 64mb RAM. It also uses ‘demand paging’ using the hard drive as extra memory so you will never run out of RAM no matter how many programs you run.
Improved GPS, the N95 8GB uses Nokia’s Assisted GPS technology, which sends the handset location hints over the network to compensate for weak satellite signals resulting in faster and improved GPS positioning.
Longer Battery Life, thanks to the new BL-6F battery the battery life of the phone is increased by 25-50%. A major improvement on one of the main weaknesses of the original N95. To accommodate the new larger BL-6F battery the phone is now an extra millimetre thicker than the original N95, making it also heavier by 8 grams compare to the 120 grams of the original.
Again, to accommodate the new larger BL-6F battery, the shutter has been replaced with a simple recessed lens. You now have to hold the shoot button to activate the camera.
The screen has better protection with a hard top layer that’s flush with the front of the phone. The original N95 had a soft touch screen which had a slight recess allowing dust and dirt to gather easily. The N95 8GB has a larger 2.8” screen compared to the original 2.6” with a clearer and brighter display.
The larger screen has meant that the D-pad and main buttons have been moved down and made smaller. The Multimedia controls are now raised and dimpled making them easier to find by touch alone.
Their are also some interface and software changes made on the new N95 8GB. The standby screen shows 7 quick launch icons as oppose to 6 on the original N95. The N95 8GB also has a new icon for Nokia’s upcoming N-Gage gaming platform and comes with 2 demo games - FIFA 07 and Asphalt 3.
The N95 8GB features a search option shortcut on the standby screen utilizing Nokia’s new Mobile Search utility and the annoying multimedia menu from the original N95 has been replaced with a more useful rotating menu.
Even with that changes, the new Nokia N95 8GB still keep several features that its predecessor has like the Carl Zeiss optics 5 megapixel camera, TV out, Stereo FM radio, Organizer, 3G video calling, WAP 2.0, Symbian OS S60, video dial/memo and so on.

Most and many health experts have written books, papers or given lectures explaining why alkaline ionized water is the simplest, most effective way to Alkalize, Hydrate, Detoxify and Mineralize the body.
But what is Alkaline Water and why are so many health experts so excited by it, drinking it and asking you to drink it?
Well, many people love the taste. Ionized water is great tasting water, but great taste doesn’t explain why people have decided to start drinking ionized water.
What is Alkaline Water? The term Alkaline Water is just a label used to describe ideal drinking water as provided by nature; one of many labels that arise as we explore the hidden properties of water.
All natural water consists of H2O molecules and OH- and H+ ions in very small quantities. It is these ions that give acidity and alkalinity to water. When these ions are equal in number, the water is neutral, when the H+ is more it is acidic, when the OH- ions are more, it is alkaline.
Alkaline water is abundant in oxygen and alkaline minerals than neutral or acid tap water. It is highly oxygenated water with the oxygen in the stable bias OH- form that is needed by our cells. Each of these ions is bonded with an alkaline mineral in the all important colloidal form.
At pH between 8-10, ionized alkaline water will have 100’s of times more excess oxygen than neutral tap water and no acid elements or toxic substances in it.

How Alkaline Water is produced?

Alkaline water can be produced in the following ways:

1. With a Water Ionizer

2. By passing water through selected Bio-Ceramic and Bio-stone filters

3. By passing water through magnetic fields - this can only reduce the water clusters to make microwater.

4. By adding alkaline mineral drops to ordinary water - this does not effect the cluster sizes or ORP of tap water.

What are the Reported Miraculous Effects of Drinking Alkaline Water?

Alkaline water has many reported Miraculous effects. It can help with weight loss, help the body to detoxify, reduce the aging process, help in cases of diabetis and other health conditions, provide valuable anti-oxidants, help prevent cancer, help with skin conditions and more.

Hydrates – the water is in very small clusters (microclusters), so it’s absorbed more easily and quickly into the body cells and tissues. It is up to 5 times more hydrating than regular water.

Detoxifies – the highly alkaline, antioxidant water flushes out acid waste products from the body cells and tissues. This can help promote weight loss too by eliminating the acids that are bound to fat, then flushing them out of your system.

Alkalizes – the water is a rich source of minerals that are important to combat all the acid producing drink and food we consume, in addition to environmental toxins and stress.

Enhances food flavors – this clean and healthy water makes food and drinks taste better. Fruit and vegetable juices made with the water are less acidic tasting and rice and other grains are fluffier when cooked in this water.

Oxygenizes — the water produced contains thousands of tiny bubbles. This abundance of oxygen in the alkaline water increases energy, alertness and stamina.

Acts as an antioxidant – the ionized water collect and neutralize free-radicals that damage the body. It has a negative Oxidative Reduction Potential (ORP). This means it can reduce oxidation “rusting” and aging. It rejuvenates and brings back “youths” of the body.

3G (Third Generation) is the latest wireless technology. It is also known as UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), an improvement over 2G (Second Generation) providing wireless access to the data and information to the users from any where and anytime. It is the latest mobile technology and in fact it is describe by Cellular (2004) as being a generic name for the host of mobile technologies.
3G cellular phones were first launched in Japan in October 2001. This 3G phone was designed so users would be able to surf the Internet, view pictures of the people they are talking to, watch movies and listen to music on their handsets .

What are the benefits of 3G?
You can perform all those functions that you perform at present with your mobile devices but at much higher speed than before.
