Telus is a telecommunications company in Canada. It is the second second-largest telecommunications carrier after Bell Canada. Alberta provincial government established Telus in 1907 to acquire and operate Bell Canada operations in the province. The brand name Telus was first used in 1990 as a new name after it was privatized by the Alberta provincial government.
